Abstract

This study aims to determine the fulfillment of recreational functions for children in the Library Service Office of the Library and Archive Service of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (Grhatama Pustaka). The type of research used is descriptive qualitative case study research approach. The subjects in this study are services, facilities and activities in children's services, and the object in this study is the recreational function of the child's services. The results of this study, Grhatama Pustaka has fulfilled the recreational function for children, through the services and facilities provided. Services and facilities that are recreational, namely the provision of children's book collections, children's games, storytelling and creativity, the provision of musical instruments, as well as 6D film and cinema screenings. Even so, the library still needs to make improvements and enhance the facilities and services, so that the recreational function in Grhatama Pustaka can run well and optimally, and have a good impact on children who feel it.
