Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the reading corner of RSUP DR. Sardjito Yogyakarta to support the library recreation function. This research was conducted using qualitative methods. The subjects of this study consisted of the manager of the reading corner of RSUP DR. Sardjito and visitors in the reading corner of RSUP DR. Sardjito. The object of research is the role of the reading corner of RSUP DR. Sardjito Yogyakarta to support the library recreation function. The sampling technique in this study used the snowball sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this study use several methods, namely observation, interviews, and documentation, data analysis techniques in this study using data analysis models Miles and Huberman in his book Sugiyono namely Data Collection (Data Collection), Data Reduction (Data Reduction), Data Display (Data Presentation), and Conlusion Drawing / Verification. The technique of examining the validity of the data of this study uses the Credibility Test using the technique of Increasing Perseverance and Triangulation techniques, Transferability Tests, Dependability Tests, and Confirmability Tests. The results of the role of the reading corner of RSUP DR. Sardjito in order to support the function of perpsutrak recreation in this study, namely 1) Providing entertainment in the form of fiction reading and entertainment magazines for children. 2) Providing popular and entertaining collections 3) Providing a garden / library room decoration as good and comfortable as possible for visitors 4) Entertaining to increase spiritual and physical freshness 5) Functioning as leisure time utilization 6) Supporting creative and positive activities
