Abstract
In today's era, Islamic banks are growing rapidly. The latest development is related to the merger of three Himbara Islamic banks, namely Bank Syariah Mandiri, BRI Syariah and BNI Syariah, which agreed to carry out a registered merger on February 1, 2021 under the name Bank Syariah Indonesia. This consolidation will more or less change the leadership structure of the merged bank so that it will affect employee performance. In addition, it is possible for new leaders to occur after the merger. Of course, this change also has an impact on employee work motivation and downstream has an impact on employee performance at Bank Syariah Indonesia. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Where the sample used is an employee of an Indonesian Islamic bank as a research sample using purposive sampling technique in sampling. Where the sample requirements that become the object of research are Bank Syariah Indonesia employees who work in the city of Yogyakarta. After conducting the research, the results obtained were T arithmetic > T table (1.68), namely 0.119 1.68 and P-value > 0.05, namely 0.902 > 0.05 on the organizational change variable. Meanwhile, for the leadership style variable, T arithmetic was obtained, namely 2.269 > 1.68 and P-value 0.024 > 0.05 and the motivational variable T arithmetic was 3.048 > 1.68 and P-value 0.002 < 0.05. So it can be concluded that organizational change (merger) has no insignificant effect on employee performance. While the variables of leadership style and motivation have a significant effect on the performance of Bank Syariah Indonesia employees.
