Abstract

Less optimal learning is due to the lack of use of learning media in the learning process, the classroom atmosphere during learning tends to be passive, students are less focused in following lessons so that it affects student learning outcomes, especially science content. For this reason, it is necessary to support learning media, so that student learning outcomes increase. The purpose of this study was to design nature smart media and then find out the feasibility and find out how much the increase in students' science learning outcomes by using nature smart media on the theme let's love the environment. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) research with the development model (ADDIE) of Robert Maribe Brach. At the analysis stage, there are three parts, namely curriculum analysis, student needs, and materials, design which includes collecting materials, planning, compiling media and instruments, development stage in the form of media validation and revising input from the validator, the implementation stage, which includes a small group field test, the evaluation stage, which evaluates the media in the form of a summative analysis to determine the feasibility of the media in the form of normality test, homogeneity test, One Way Anova test and Effect Size test. The results of this study indicate that (1) the validation and assessment carried out by media experts scored 89.58, material experts scored 85.41, and teacher assessments scored 89.70 and 94.11. The product trial obtained a score of 98.33 and 96.66 on average all obtained a very good score (SB). (2) There are differences in student learning outcomes in science in the two schools, namely HR Karangploso (control class) and SDN Grojogan (experimental class) in the One Way Anova test obtained 0.002 or less than 0.05. (3) Based on the calculation results, it can be seen that the Effect Size (ES) obtained is 0.784. The effect size obtained means that it is less than 0.8 and more than 0.2 (0.2<ES<0.8) and is classified as moderate. This can be interpreted that the level of effectiveness of the developed nature smart category so that it is suitable for use in learning that is not limited by space and time.
