Abstract

In the 20th century, in the midst of the active flow of communication technology, which is increasingly active, it provides many conveniences and benefits to the community, especially when accessing information related to religion and da'wah that anyone wants to access. This phenomenon has an impact on various religious understandings by some sects and religious organizations in Indonesia. As we know, there are several largest religious organizations that have existed in this country for a long time, namely, Nahdatul Ulama‟, Muhammadiyah, etc. With the many religious notions that are studied and embraced by some Indonesian people, it gives a lot of influence in understanding the religious concept of difference. This can cause conflict between communities and religious organizations because they have diverse and different religious understandings. Intolerance is a scourge that is very difficult to eliminate in this democratic country. It is proven by the many cases of intolerance that often occur in our country. In recent years, religious issues have become the object of discussion to cause inter-religious conflicts that are spread through social media. with the existence of the Indonesian Gusdurian Network community, it has a very significant influence in countering and also educating the social media world about tolerance between religious communities. Social media is the main tool to provide education and also the importance of understanding differences in diversity with the spirit of maintaining tolerance between religious communities. Da'wah in the New Media era using social media certainly needs adaptation and also more observations in order to be able to know the needs of social media audiences in accessing information related to religion, especially about issues related to da'wah and tolerance. The Gusdurian Network Instagram account has so far chosen the Instagram platform as wasilah as a medium that is considered capable of voicing narratives related to tolerance to counter the narratives built by Instagram social accounts which are indicated to voice narratives about intolerance. Based on the 9 core values of the Indonesian Gusdruian Network, the Gusdurian Network Instagram account continues to strive to build trust and attractiveness to social media audiences, by producing each content to make it look attractive and also useful for all Indonesian people. Da'wah in the New media era is a form of progressiveness of today's advances in communication technology. The Indonesian Gusdurian Network chose the Instagram Platform to spread religious values and also da'wah that still prioritizes diversity. This study uses Kress and Van Leeuween's Multimodality Analysis which aims to examine the configuration of discourse in the text. Kress mentions several examples of modals such as image, writing, layout, music, sound, gesture, speech, moving image or soundtrack, and several other socio-cultural products such as clothes, home furnishings or food, where these modes are then tasked with constructing meaning. So that multimodal discourse analysis is a process of dissecting signs both visual and verbal to find out the meaning contained in it. This is to analyze the content on Instagram of the Indonesian Gusdurian Network related to the preaching of tolerance which is labeled by the tagline Indonesia Rumah Bersama.
