Abstract

This study aims to find out how the intensity of watching the Tiktok account @basyasman00 affects religious understanding. The theory used is the theory of Media Effects, Watching Intensity and Religious Understanding. The validity test uses criterion validity which is calculated using the Cronbach Alpha formula with the help of SPSS version 22. The type of analysis of this research is descriptive quantitative research with survey methods and Pearson Product Moment analysis with the help of SPSS version 22. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, documentation and interviews. This study is a population study, where the entire population became respondents in this study, namely 60 students of MTs S Al-Washliyah Padang Matinggi. From data processing, it was found that there was an influence between the intensity of watching the Tiktok account @basyasman00 on the religious understanding of the students of MTs S Al-Washliyah Padang Matinggi. The effect caused is 52,41% and is included in the moderate category, meaning that the effects are in line with expectations. This study uses dk = N (N=60) and the probability level or significance level of 0.05 (5%) then rtable is 0,254 and from the calculation obtained rcount is 0,724 thus rcount > rtable then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.
