Abstract

Mental health issues have become one of the main concerns in digital Islamic preaching, as psychological distress among the public increases due to the pressures of modern life. Social media, particularly Instagram, serves as a new space for delivering preaching that is not only normative but also touches on the emotional aspects of the audience. This study aims to analyze the construction of mental health discourse in Ustadz Hilman Fauzi's da'wah through the Instagram content @menatahati.tc using Teun A. Van Dijk's Critical Discourse Analysis approach. The research type used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques involving the documentation of three video da'wah content pieces on mental health themes and literature review. The results of the study indicate that the discourse of da'wah constructed through text, social cognition, and social context leads to an empathetic, reflective, and down-to-earth approach to da'wah. Da'wah is not merely about normative commands but also creates a space for spiritual healing for audiences grappling with inner wounds. Based on these research findings, it can be concluded that Ustadz Hilman Fauzi has successfully constructed a discourse of da'wah that not only conveys Islamic values but also embraces the psychological condition of the community. His approach is relevant to the needs of urban youth who seek a gentle, relatable, and soothing form of da'wah. This finding is expected to serve as a reference in the development of digital da'wah that holistically addresses the spiritual and emotional dimensions of the audience.
