Abstract

This research is about evaluating the digital literacy ability of UIN Library Science students Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of digital literacy ability of UIN library science student Sunan Kalijaga based on the 4 pillars of digital literacy belonging to Kominfo-Japelidi-Siberkreasi, namely, digital skills, digital culture, digital ethics and digital safety. The subject of this study is an active student of the UIN Sunan Kalijaga library science study program in the 2021/2022 academic year, while the object is the digital literacy ability of UIN Sunan Kalijaga students. The method used in this study used a quantitative descriptive method with a total population of 520, while the sample taken was 84 people. The sampling technique used is proportionate stratified Random Sampling. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study showed that the percentage value of the digital skills sub-variable was 83%, digital culture was 77%, digital ethics was 86%, and digital safety was 82%. The score of each cohort, the class of 2015 of 80% is included in the Less Good criteria, which is also the lowest of the entire batch. The class of 2016 to 2021 is included in the Good criteria, with the order of percentages obtained at 86%, 81%, 81%, 83%, 81%, 83%. The highest score was obtained in the class of 2016.
