Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the economic factors in Indonesia and Malaysia that have the potential to affect the competitiveness of CPO exports. The data studied were time series data from the period 1990-2020 with a dynamic regression model. The results of this study describe the influence that occurs in Indonesia from exchange rate variables, inflation, and international prices to the competitiveness of CPO exports in the short term. While variables in Malaysia that describe the significant influence on the competitiveness of CPO exports include exchange rate variables, GDP, inflation, and international prices. When viewed over a long period of time, variables in Indonesia such as exchange rate, GDP, inflation, and international prices illustrate the significant influence on the competitiveness of CPO exports. While the variables in Malaysia that affect the competitiveness of CPO exports include exchange rates, GDP, and international prices.
