Abstract

Poverty is the economic urgency that many countries face in the word, including Indonesia. Thus far, the government has made efforts to reduce poverty rates in Indonesia. This is confirmed by the 2020 poverty rate that dec;ined to 26,4 million, in 1975, Indonesian’s poverty rate was 87,2 million. The decline in poverty must have been affected by various factors, especially economic factors. In this study, researchers inted to examine the influence of some economics variables: the subsidies, the foreign debt and the foreign direct investmen against Indonesia’s poverty in 1975-2020. This research data is a secondary data obtained from BPS, BI, Worldbank and litbang. The data used is time series data taken annually over the period 1975-2020. The method of analysis used in this study is the Vector Error Correction Method (VECM) and using eviews 10 software. Research shows that in the long term, subsidies have a negative and significant impact on poverty, foreign debt has no significant impact on poverty and FDI has a positive and significant impact of poverty. Whereas in the short term, subsidy variables have significant positive effect on poverty, and foreign debt and FDI variables do not significantly affect poverty.
