Abstract

Early childhood language is part of linguistic studies which is an important issue to study. Language learning must have innovations in learning because language will continue to develop throughout timeLearning in schools only uses makeshift media and there is no storybook media that uses three languages such as Indonesian, English and Arabic. This leads to a lack of media that can stimulate children's language and the addition of children's vocabulary in three languages. The purpose of this study is the importance of the innovation of three-language storybooks, how to implement and and the effectiveness of Three-Language Storybooks as a medium for early childhood language learning. Based on this, researchers used the media of a three-language storybook with the theme of my limbs as one of the children's language development media. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analyze, Desaign, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model developed by Dick and Carry. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are used through quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results of this study are: (1) the importance of developing children's language from an early age so that it makes it easier for children to communicate complexly. (2) trilingual storybook media is said to be feasible as a child's language learning media with an eligibility value in the assessment of Indonesian material experts of 85% with excellent categories, assessment of English material experts by 95% with excellent categories, assessment of Arabic material experts by 85% with excellent categories and media expert assessments of 82% with excellent categories. (3) the effectiveness of the three-language storybook media implemented as a learning medium received an assessment of 90% with an excellent category to be used as a child's language learning media. So that with storybook media, it becomes one of the children's language learning media that can stimulate language, increase children's vocabulary and introduce foreign languages to children, namely English and Arabic.
