Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of booklet media as a learning medium for biodiversity material for class X SMA and MA. The result of this study is a booklet learning medium. This research and development uses the Borg and Gall model which has been modified by Sugiyono. This research and development model consists of 10 stages, namely potential and problems, collecting information, product design, design validation, design improvement, product trials, product revisions, usage trials, product revisions and mass products. However, in this development it is only limited to 7 stages, namely (product revision), because this research only comes to limited trials. This booklet was developed using the Correl Draw application because it is easy to use. Booklet assessment by a material expert, 1 Design expert, 1 Biology teacher, 20 Biology Education students and 20 class X students at MA Mafatihul Huda Cipari. Research instruments include validation sheets and student response sheets, the results of which are analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the booklet assessment obtained include material experts with a percentage of 86.7% and excellent categories. Design Expert with good category and percentage 78.6%. Biology educators with a percentage of 92% and excellent categories. Test peer Review with a percentage of 89.6% and excellent categories. One-on-one trials of 80.1% and small group trials of 81.2% and excellent categories. Thus it can be concluded that the booklet falls into the category of excellent. So that the booklet is suitable for use as a learning medium for Biology in class X SMA / MA.
