Abstract
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of self-service return by using the book drop for pemustaka in State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. This research uses descriptive quantitative method with a research subject is pemustaka in State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. population of this study is the entire library pemustaka totaling 19,971 people. of the population is taken sempel based terories Imar Husain (1997) in Simamora (2004:37), obtained a sample of 100 people. Sampling using accidental sampling method. variables in this study is single returns independently is return selfservice effectiveness by using the book drop for pemustaka in State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Methods used in data collection is questionnaire method, dokumetation, and interviews. Effectiveness measurement based on the Likert scale (4-1) that the results be interpreted to be strongly agree, agree, disagree and strongly disagree. Results showed that return self-service effectiveness by using the book drop for pemustaka in State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta categorized Effective with the total average value of 3.06 (good)
