Abstract

Promotion of the library is essentially a forum for exchange of information between library with the consumer or prospective users with the primary purpose of providing information about products or services provided by the library at once persuaded to react to a product or service offered. Choosing the right promotion to use libraries that we manage strategy is needed, use of appropriate strategies to prevent the library from losses caused by the promotional activities that are not effective and efisien.Promotional efforts Wiyata Graduate University Library UPT Tamansiswa Yogyakarta aims to determine the implementation of library promotion activities in the University Library UPT Bachelor Wiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta in promoting the library. The method in this study using qualitative descriptive methods. Data collection techniques using observation, interview and documentation. In this study adequately captured informants to be interviewed.The results of this study that the University Undergraduate Library Unit Wiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta in promoting the library with the media, Guidance user library following the Indonesian Higher Education Libraries Forum, the Internet, publications, and community services. Promotion of the library in the University Library UPT Bachelor Wiyata Tamansiswa more Yogyakarta aims to provide information and recalling the existence of a product or service for the library service can be utilized by user library.
