Abstract

The realm of da'wah and Islamic studies, one of which is the study of Al-Qur'an interpretation, has penetrated into the realm of social media, one of the social media that focuses on the study of interpretation, namely Instagram. Instagram not only displays and informs all forms of phenomena in human life that are becoming a trend or hot issue, but also enters the realm of da'wah and Islamic studies. The Instagram account @risalahmuslim is one of the most active accounts on the platform. This account consistently posts content that interprets verses from the Quran in imaginative and interesting ways. In addition, many of the topics discussed here are related to events that many young people like because they are packaged in contemporary everyday language. Therefore, to answer academic unrest, there are three problem formulations to be answered in this study, in between; what are the sources of interpretation of the Instagram account @risahmuslim? What is the method of interpretation used by the Instagram account @risahmuslim? And what is the relevance of the interpretation in the @risalahmuslim account? This question is answered and analyzed based on the epistemological theory of interpretation so that it will produce answers from the author's academic concerns. This research is qualitative with library research and the study (formal object) used is epistemology of interpretation. As for the source of interpretation used by @risalahmuslim. First, the source of bil ma'tsur, Second, using the source of understanding bi al-ra'yii (logic). The interpretation methodology consists of interpretive principles and methods, as well as interpretive approaches. The method and approach used in the interpretation of @risalahmuslim is the tahlili method: typology of explanations of tahlili interpretations, an interpretation approach based on munasabah verses, an ijtihad approach, a contextual approach, a lughawi approach (linguistics) and the domination of interpretation tendencies (styles of interpretation) used is contextualist ijtima'i and scientific patterns. Finally, the validity of the following interpretation with the interpretation implications of the @risalahmuslim account. The truth of @risalahmuslim's interpretation can be seen based on coherence theory and pragmatic theory.
