Abstract

This study discusses how the effect of the work environment and compensation on employee work productivity mediated by job satisfaction at BTN Syariah Yogyakarta employees. The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the direct effect of work environment and compensation on job satisfaction, the effect of work environment, compensation and job satisfaction on work productivity, and test the indirect effect of work environment and compensation mediated by job satisfaction on employee work productivity. This research uses a quantitative approach. The primary data in this study were obtained from distributing questionnaires using a non-probability sampling technique on BTN Syariah Yogyakarta employees. The analytical tool used is SmartPLS v.4.0.8.9 with the SEM (Structural Equation Model) analysis method. The results showed that work environment and compensation had no significant effect on work productivity, job satisfaction had a significant effect on work productivity, work environment had a significant effect on job satisfaction, compensation had no significant effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction was able to mediate the effect of work environment on work productivity but unable to mediate the effect of compensation on work productivity.
