Abstract

Poverty is a global problem, including in Indonesia. As one of the countries with the most adherents of Islam in the world, zakat should be one of the solutions offered by Islam. This study aims to determine the efficiency level of the Yogyakarta City National Amil Zakat Agency for the 2016-2020 period using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method with a production approach. The author uses quantitative-non-parametric methods and collects data by means of documentation studies and library research through the website of the institution concerned and other related literature. The type of data used is data. There are two variables used in this study, namely input and output variables. The input variables are total assets and operational costs, while the output variables are collected zakat funds and distributed zakat funds. The results showed that the Yogyakarta City Baznas were efficient in 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020 but were inefficient in 2017.
