Abstract

This study aims to measure the influence of the use of social media TikTok on the consumptive lifestyle of SMA N 2 Wonosobo students during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is related to the S-R theory or stimulus-response theory, where the stimulus or stimulus given is six uses of the social media Tiktok while the effects or stimuli that would be caused vary depending on the person receiving the stimulus. One of the effects or responses is that it can change the behavior or attitude of a person or a certain group.. In the research using this type of quantitative research with a survey method, where respondents were given a questionnaire via google form. The sampling technique and data in this study used a random sampling technique and a Likert scale, and used simple linear regression analysis in the data analysis test. The uses of social media TikTok has a 44.0% influence on consumptive lifestyle variables in children, while the other 56% is caused by other factors. The other factor was as said other journals explaining that it was not only the use of social media tiktok that influences the consumptive lifestyle, but also the surrounding environment such as family, relatives, teachers.
