Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the effect of the talking stick learning model on human motion system interest in learning of students MA Ali Maksum (2) to determine the effect of the talking stick learning model on human motion system outcomes in learning of students MA Ali Maksum. This research belongs to the type of True Experiment with the research design used being the pretest-posttest control group design. The research population was students of class XI IPA MA Ali Maksum Yogyakarta. The research sample was students of class XI IPA A as the control class and XI IPA B as the experimental class using Simple Random Sampling. The technique of collecting data on student’s interest in learning used a non-test, with the instrument in the form of a questionnaire sheet of student learning interests. Furthermore, the technique of retrieving data on students learning outcomes used tests, which are in the form of pretest and posttest questions regarding the human movement system. The data analysis used the U Mann Whitney test to examine the student interests and learning outcomes. The result of this study are : 1) there is an effect of the talking stick learning model on human movement system student’s in interest learning of student’s MA Ali Maksum, this is proved by the U Mann Whitney test which shows a sig value of 0.000 which means a sig value < 0.05. 2) the effect of the talking stick learning model on human movement system outcomes in of student’s MA Ali Maksum , is proved by the results of the U Mann Whitney test shows a sig value of 0.000, which means < 0.05
