Abstract

This research was structured to design a media that can increase the effectiveness of learning according to creativity as a teacher, so that it is easy for students to understand and looks attractive so that students become motivated in participating in class learning. Preliminary observations at MIN 2 Manado, where in the learning process they have never used smart book media, but video and picture media are usually done, but this is rarely done, especially in class IV. This development research aims: 1) To analyze the development of flipbookbased smart book learning media in the subject of Natural Sciences class Sub Theme 6 class 4 at MIN 2 Manado; 2) To analyze flipbook-based smart book learning media can improve soft school in the subject of Natural Sciences, Class 4 Sub Theme 6 at MIN 2 Manado; 3) To analyze flipbook-based smart book learning media can improve learning outcomes in the subject of Natural Sciences, Class 4 Sub Theme 6 at MIN 2 Manado. This study used the Research and Development method. The research design used the ADDIE model which consisted of five stages, namely the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The data collection instruments for this study were the results of media experts' assessments, material experts, teacher assessments, and students' pretest and posttest questionnaires. The location of this research is at MIN 2 Manado, Tuminting District, Manado City, North Sulawesi. This research was conducted in class IV with 25 students. Research results: 1) development of flipbook-based smart book learning media with a media validation test of 95.45%, based on the product feasibility table shows that smart book learning media is "Very Eligible". The results of the material expert validation obtained 95.83% results based on the material feasibility table showing that the material for growth and development of living things was "Very Eligible". The results of the teacher's response were 95.00% based on the feasibility table for obtaining the title "Very Eligible". 2) The results of the soft skills before and after did not decrease (negative ranks) while there were 14 people who experienced an increase (positive ranks) did not experience an increase or decrease (Ties). Significant results are 0.00 with an error rate of 5% or 0.05, then it is described as 0.00 <0.05 so that it can be said that there is a significant difference in the level of soft skill learning before and after the use of smart book learning media in Science subjects, Sub Theme 6 class IV at Min 2 Manado. 3) The effectiveness of flipbook-based Smart Book Learning Media to Improve Student Learning Outcomes. Student learning outcomes before using flipbook-based smart book learning media with a value interval of 0-59 totaling 2 people and 60-79 totaling 23 people. As for the 80-89 and 90-100 categories, there is no such thing. The average value obtained after implementing flipbook-based smart book learning media is 65.28. Student learning outcomes after using flipbook-based smart book learning media with value intervals 0-59 are absent, 60-79 are 4 people, 80-89 are 10 people and 90-100 are 11 people. The average value obtained after implementing flipbook-based smart book learning media is 86.72. Significant test before and after the use of smart book learning media with a significant level of 0.000 and an error rate of 5% or 0.05 so that it can be described as 0.05 > 0.00 so that it can be said that there is a difference in student scores before and obtained using smart book learning media flipbook based. This shows that there is an effect of the use of flipbook-based smart book learning media on student learning outcomes in the science subject, sub-theme-6 class IV at MIN 2 Manado.
