Abstract

Libsys Online is an library automation system that has 16 users spread in schools and universities in Yogyakarta. One of the users is Madrasah Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The researcher found out that there are some problems discovered in Madrasah Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta related to usability, such as error and user interface. The purpose of the research is to evaluate Libsys Online in Madrasah Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta with a think aloud method. The subject from this research is the librarian and the object is Libsys Online. This research is using a descriptive qualitative method with a think aloud approach. After analyzing the data, it is found that there are 14 problems from think aloud usability testing. Based on the results above, the researcher advises to improve the error usability, the user interface, and the simplicity of the system so that the users are easily use the system.
