Abstract

Women's reproductive problems are often a hot topic discussed on social media. Women as bearers of human reproductive functions such as conceiving, giving birth, and breastfeeding children are a very complex and comprehensive process. Women have reproductive rights that are still not fully fulfilled in Indonesian society. So, women need to be given information related to reproductive rights so that they can participate in making their choices without pressure from any party. This was realized by an account @taulebih.id which made Instagram a propaganda medium in providing information and services regarding women's reproductive rights. This research uses a qualitative content analysis method, namely by taking samples, selecting units of analysis, concluding phenomena, and telling research answers through narrative using the Krippendorf content analysis approach. This aims to be an effort to examine and analyze content related to women's reproductive rights in Islam, namely the right to choose a partner, the right to have offspring, the right to determine pregnancy, and the right to care for children. This research found that @taulebih.id uses Instagram as a medium to convey ideas and concepts regarding women's reproductive rights by using various Instagram features and creating an interactive space between @taulebih.id and its followers. Furthermore, based on the 10 pieces of content analyzed, researchers found that @taulebih.id used popular issues as inspiration in producing content. Apart from that, based on phenomena that occur in Indonesian society, @taulebih.id invites its followers to understand popular issues related to women's reproductive rights while still referring to religious values.
