Abstract

In this Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, the use of technology in education has led to the use of practical technology-based learning media, one of which is android-based learning media. This study aims to 1) develop android-based Biology learning media with the iSpring application on cell subject matter for grade XI students at SMAN 1 Ngaglik, 2) find out the quality of android-based Biology learning media with the iSpring application on cell subject matter for grade XI students at SMAN 1 Ngaglik after validation by experts, 3) find out student responses to android-based Biology learning media with the iSpring application on cell subject matter for grade XI students at SMAN 1 Ngaglik. This research is a type of R&D (Research and Development) research with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The data collection techniques used were interviews and questionnaires. The instrument used for data collection is a questionnaire sheet. The learning media products developed were validated by 1 media expert, 1 material expert, 8 peer reviewers, and 1 biology teacher. Limited trials to determine student responses were conducted on 28 students of grade XI at SMAN 1 Ngaglik. The data analysis technique was descriptive quantitative qualitative. The product produced in this research is cell-based biology learning media on the subject matter of cells for grade XI students at SMAN 1 Ngaglik. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the learning media products developed are included in the very good category (SB) from experts with an ideal percentage of 91.89%. Student responses show that the learning media developed is included in the very good category (SB) with an ideal percentage of 88.75%. Thus, it can be concluded that the android-based learning media developed is suitable for use in learning biology for grade XI students at SMAN 1 Ngaglik.
