Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of interest rates, inflation, and exchange rates on the performance of Islamic equity mutual funds in Indonesia. Additionally, this study utilizes control variables, namely the return of the Jakarta Islamic Index and the expense ratio. The research method employed is panel data regression analysis using secondary data collected from the period 2018-2023. The sample consists of 10 active Islamic equity mutual funds over the last 5 years. The results of this research indicate that interest rates and inflation have a significantly positive impact on the performance of Islamic equity mutual funds, while the exchange rate has a significantly negative impact on the performance of Islamic equity mutual funds. The findings of this research can serve as a reference for investors in making investment decisions and for the Islamic mutual fund industry in managing portfolios.
