Abstract

The proliferation of laughing hadith memes spread across various social media platforms has given rise to various different public perceptions. These differences of opinion usually give rise to pros and cons which are able to lead public opinion into positive and negative aspects of the laughing hadith. This research aims to analyze and interpret the phenomenon of laughing hadith memes appearing on social media platforms. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a library review research type using a netnography research approach as an intermediary in searching for data available in digital traces as well as libraries (library research). The results of this research show that laughing memes spread across various social media platforms have a very good impact on conveying the content of da'wah or calling for more creative and innovative Islamic teachings. One form of hadith meme that interprets this is the hadith meme of laughing heartily, laughing a little, and crying a lot. The contextualization of this hadith can be an important element that can be applied in life, because laughter is considered to be able to provide positive life points in everyday life.
