Abstract

Majoring selection for high school student is a term to deepen the knowledge of particular subjects related to their field of interest. The students of Madrasah have to choose one of three major IPA, IPS, and Bahasa depends on their grade, talent, and psychological test result. This research uses the sample data from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Wates I, consist of several data including: student data, report grade, talent test score, and subject interest. Fuzzy inference system method by tsukamoto is used in this research process. This method is part of fuzzy logic system for problem indentifying and problem solving that commonly used. On the implementation part of this method, this research use PHP as programming language, PostgreSQL as a database, and can be accessed online. This system can provide a result that can give suggestions to the student concerning on their major selection issues. This system can help the student of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Wates I especially grade X to decide what major they should take with the best result because this system provide with multiple calculating procedure that uses the fuzzy logic arithmetic system based on student valid data. This online applications is created to help the student to decide what major IPA, IPS, and Bahasa they shoud take based on their grade report, talent test, and interest.
