Abstract

The research at archives field, specialy that related with the work ability of archivers is seldom to be done. Because of it, the research about the work ability of archivers need to do because of the duty and function of archivers really important for aechives safety. The purpose of this research us to know how the work ability of archivers in doing the archives activity at the library and archives department of The Special District of Yogyakarta region Province. This research has been done in March 29th until June 29th 2010 with cualitative method approach. This research is a case study research with data analysis that received from all kinds of many source that related by interview method, research, documentation, photograph of all of archives activity. The result of the analysis from the research is the work ability of archivers is in accordance with the Guidance and Regultion of MENPAN 3th Number in 2009 about archives activity and the standaritation of archives handling mechanism. from all of the archives activity and adjacent is accordance with the standaritation and guidance in doing archives activity. Recomendatuon for the archivers is must be more undersatand and doing better for the archives activity. In this research , the writer hope thus research will be continue for the nexy deep study research to get the perfect research.
