Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of internal locus of control, social environment, and religiosity on career decisions in Islamic financial institutions. To analyze these career decisions, researchers use Holland's theory as the grand theory. The object of this research is students of Islamic economics and Islamic banking study programs at UIN Sunan Kalijaga and STEI Yogyakarta with the criteria of class 2020 students who have done field work practices, with a sample of 100 students. This research uses quantitative methods with a purposive sampling approach, which is then analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of this study indicate that there is a significant positive effect of the internal locus of control, social environment, and religiosity variables on student career decisions in Islamic financial institutions. This research is expected to provide an overview for universities and Islamic financial institutions regarding student career decisions.
