Abstract

This research aims to know the creativity of librarians as in effort to increase the student`s interest in reading library of Ulil Albab MAN 3 Bantul. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis in the research used the Miles & Huberman model, that is by carrying out data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. As for for testing the credibility of the data, the researcher used a triangulation and member check. There are two results of this research. The first was the school`s policies in building the reading interest are through routine reading of books and Qur`an before teaching and learning activities, the teacher assigned the students to read and to review books in the library, add the library`s collections based on the student`s requests, and add the e-book collections. Second, the librarians programs at the the library of MAN 3 Bantul, are BLC (Book Lover Club), library comparative studies, writing workshops, book writing and facilitation of books with ISBN and literacy stages.
