Abstract

This research aims to: 1) Analyze and describe the content of moral values in the PAI and Ethics books for Class V Elementary School. 2) To find out and describe the strategies used by Islamic Religious Education teachers, school principals and other educators in implementing moral values at SDN 20 Kota Bima; 3). Analyze and describe the implications of learning and Islamic Education and Character textbooks for class V elementary school on the morals of students at SDN 20 Kota Bima. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive qualitative field research design using a phenomenological approach. The data collection techniques used are observation techniques, interview techniques and documentation techniques. The analysis technique used is interactive model analysis. The results of this research show that the Islamic Education and Character books for class V elementary school contain 115 moral values. The inclusion of moral values in the book shows that the book can be a support for forming students' perspectives, attitudes and behavior that reflect good morals in his life. Moral values have been implemented well in the SDN 20 Kota Bima environment, this is proven by the existence of various activities or activities, namely there are 16 activities or activities that support and support the formation of these values. The strategies used by PAI teachers to implement the values of tolerance and morals are through example, habituation, advice, attention/supervision, and punishment, in addition to using teaching strategies through the game "who am I" and "who is he" with active learning and communicative learning models . Learning and textbooks for Islamic Religious Education and Character for Elementary School Class V have had a positive impact on changing the attitudes or behavior of students at SDN 20 Kota Bima. Some of the commendable morals shown by students include morals towards God, morals towards themselves, morals towards family, morals towards society and the nation, morals towards the natural environment.
