Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the GLS based on the Master Design of the School Literacy Movement at MAN 2 Kulon Progo and the obstacles encountered in the process of implementing the school literacy movement at MAN 2 Kulon Progo. This research is a type of qualitative research. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation, documentation. In testing the validity of the data researchers used the Credibility Test, Transferability Test, Dependability Test, and Confirmability test. Data analysis was carried out through 3 steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are 1. The implementation of the school literacy movement program at MAN 2 Kulon Progo is generally in accordance with the School Literacy Movement Master Design book. this is because MAN 2 Kulon Progo has implemented most of the programs from the criteria for school literacy activities based on the master design of the school literacy movement both from the physical environment, the socio-affective environment, as well as the academic environment, 2. Obstacles encountered during the implementation process of the literacy movement at MAN 2 Kulon Progo which is about literacy awareness of its academic community. Efforts are being made to deal with these obstacles by providing motivation about the importance of literacy. The researcher conveys suggestions to further inflame the spirit of literacy to the academic community.
