Abstract

This study aims to measure the mental workload experienced by librarians on ISBN services at the National Library of Indonesia using SWAT. The method used in this study is a mixed method. The subjects in this study were librarians at the ISBN service at the National Library of Indonesia and the object of research was the workload of librarians at the ISBN service at the National Library of Indonesia. The number of samples used in this study were 13 respondents by means of a saturated sample. Data analysis was carried out on quantitative data using SWAT analysis which was arranged descriptively using dosbox 0.74 and on qualitative data by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the time effort factor was 37.70%, the mental effort was 31.79%, and the psychological stress was 30.52%. Following up on the results of the scale development, namely the event scoring stage, as can be seen in table 11 to table 15 for types of work 1 to 5, which has a low load is type of work 1 for the issuer's account registration service. Meanwhile, types of work that have moderate loads are types of work 3 and 5 including the inclusion of KDT and online and onside complaint services. Then, the types of work that have a high burden are types of work 2 and 4, ISBN submission services and BIP preparation. The overall average of Wicknes and Holland's final scale was 56.4, meaning that the workload felt by librarians on ISBN services was categorized as moderate based on the results of the SWAT data processing that had been carried out.
