Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the user's perception of the Eprints-based institutional repository at the Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta with the PIECES Framework approach. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The subjects in this study were active users of the Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta who had used the Eprints-based institutional repository service and the object of the research was the user's perception of the Eprints-based institutional repository at the Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The sample obtained from calculations with the lemeshow formula is 100 respondents. Meanwhile, the sampling technique used is incidental sampling. This study has a single variable, namely the user's perception of the institutional repository based on Eprints at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The research instrument uses the PIECES Framework, namely Performance, Information, Economics, Control, Efficiency and Service. The scale used in this study uses a Likert scale with 4 answer options. Data collection techniques in this study used 4 ways, namely questionnaires, observation, interviews and documentation. Analysis of the research data using the formula mean and grand mean. The results of the study show that the calculation of the grand mean of all sub-variables, namely 3.13, is included in the good category in the scale range. The lowest sub-variable grand mean value is 3.04 in the Information sub-variable which is included in the good category. While the highest sub-variable grand mean value is 3.23 in the Efficiency sub-variable which is included in the good category.
