Abstract
This research was conducted to reveal matters relating to the role of social media Instagram which plays a role in increasing the number of visitors to the Nepal Van Java tourist village via the Instagram account @nepal_van_java. After carrying out promotions on the official Instagram account @nepal_van_java, Nepal Van Java tourism has now become an anomaly. When the majority of tourist attractions in various regions were closed due to the pandemic, this tourist village actually experienced the impact of increasing followers from 2021 until now. This research aims to analyze the role of Instagram in increasing the number of visitors to the Nepal Van Java tourist village during the Covid-19 period. This research is qualitative research with a qualitative description approach by taking the research object as the Instagram account @nepal_van_java. Data collection in this research was obtained through interviews, observation, documentation with informants, namely the head manager, Instagram admin, and visitors. In this research, researchers used an Instagram analysis unit to maximize promotional media according to (Matthew Sugiarto 2018) with three indicators of content, consistency and community as promotion for Nepal Van Java in increasing the number of visitors. In determining the increasing number of visitors, this research consists of three stages with indicators of attractions, amenities, accessibility and availability of information. The results of this research are that the Nepal Van Java tourism manager uses a repost strategy in implementing the three elements of Instagram, namely content, consistency and community which aims to increase the number of visitors to the Nepal Van Java tour.
