Abstract

The study examines the digital campaign #AksiGenerasiIklim on Instagram in raising awareness among the younger generations about climate change issues. Climate change is not just a natural phenomenon, but human behavior also plays a role in it. Therefore, awareness and good intentions are needed from all parties, especially the younger generations. This study aims to analyze how the digital campaign #AksiGenerasiIklim encourages awareness of climate change issues among the younger generations. The younger generation plays a key role in global efforts to address climate change, and digital campaigns are considered one of the most effective ways to convey important messages about the issue. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, where data is collected through interviews, online observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that the campaign #AksiGenerasiIklim has successfully utilized social media effectively to reach and educate the young generations. This campaign employs engaging and relevant communication strategies, such as the use of creative visuals, influencer participations, and interactive challenges that encourage audience involvement. Additionally, the campaign has succeeded in building a sense of concern among the younger generations and motivating them to take concrete actions in their daily lives, although there are still some challenges in transforming awareness into sustainable actions. This study highlights the importance of an integrated and participatory approach in digital campaign for environmental issues. In conclusion, the campaign #AksiGenerasiIklim has shown great potential in mobilizing the younger generations to care about and act on climate changes, but further efforts are needed to ensure deeper and more sustainable behavioral changes.
