Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe and explore time management in students who also act as regional athletes. The research method used qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews and observations. Research informants consist of four student-athletes which had some criteria. Determination of research informants used snowball sampling. Based on the research results, it was known that out of 4 student-athletes there was 1 informant who still experiences difficulties in time management. However, the other 3 informants were able to apply several forms of managing their time, such as forming a personal schedule, determining a priority scale, minimizing wasted time, all of which were dominated by outlook on life factors, internal factors that made mistakes, as well as environmental factors that encouraged each student-athlete to take every decision. The findings of this research could provide the description and time management skills of student-athletes
