Abstract

Premarital Guidance is one of the activities carried out before carrying out a marriage, with the aim of equipping and providing preparation to prospective newlywed couples so that they have knowledge about life after marriage, one of which is to realize how to have a harmonious family. However, in many cases, couples still do not realize the importance of premarital guidance and its benefits. In household life, of course, there is a dream to have a harmonious and happy family. Therefore, researchers are interested in conducting research and seeing how much influence premarital guidance has on family harmony. This study aims to determine how much influence premarital guidance has on family harmony at the Gamping Religious Affairs Office (KUA), Sleman, Yogyakarta. This study uses a quantitative method with a sampling technique using a saturated sample. The population in this study was 240 people with a sample of 78 people. Data collection in this study used 2 scale measuring instruments, namely the premarital guidance scale and the family harmony scale. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of premarital guidance on family harmony as evidenced by the results of the SPSS 26 For Windows application assistance with simple linear regression analysis testing and determination coefficients. So it can be concluded that the results of the study indicate that premarital guidance at the Gamping Religious Affairs Office (KUA) in 2023 has an influence on family harmony with a percentage of 38.7% influenced by premarital guidance and 61.3% influenced by other factors.
