Abstract

Ngleri Village Office faced issues in managing internet traffic due to shared usage between employees and visitors without any prioritization. This resulted in unstable network performance, especially when visitors used the internet for activities such as streaming or social media, which disrupted employee productivity. This research aims to implement internet traffic management using MikroTik devices with the PCQ (Per Connection Queue) method to regulate bandwidth distribution in a fair and structured manner. The research methodology includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and evaluation. The system is designed to prioritize bandwidth for office employees, while visitors and non-critical devices are allocated limited bandwidth. The implementation involves VLAN configuration for network segmentation, NAT configuration for shared internet access, and firewall rules to enhance security. The system evaluation is conducted by comparing network performance before and after implementation. The results show that the designed system successfully improved connection stability for prioritized devices, reduced unnecessary bandwidth usage, and optimally supported office operations. This system made the internet network at the Ngleri Village Office more organized, secure, and efficient. This research is expected to serve as a solution for similar issues in other government office environments.
