Abstract

The existence of a school website has a significant role in the data processing process, facilitating easy and efficient access to information related to students, teachers, and school staff. Public services in educational institutions often face obstacles such as long queues, information that is difficult to access, and limitations in data management. Therefore, an effective and efficient system is needed to overcome these problems. This study aims to (1) describe the Implementation of a Website-Based Management Information System at MTS N 5 Sleman and (2) describe the form of Public Service Improvement after the Website-Based Management Information System is used. This research uses qualitative research. To obtain data in this research, researchers conducted interviews, documentation and observation. The determination of research subjects in interviews was based on the 3M criteria (knowing, understanding and experiencing), namely the Madrasah Head, Website Manager / operator, PTSP section, Teachers, Students, Parents of Students and Librarians. The data obtained is in the form of descriptive descriptions which are then analyzed through the data condensation stage, data display / data presentation, and finally drawing conclusions. To test the validation and validity of the data, use method triangulation and source triangulation. The research results show that First, the Implementation of a Website-based Management Information System at MTS N 5 Sleman went through several stages, namely; a) Planning, b) Analysis, c) Design, d) Implementation, e) Use. Second, forms of improving public services after using a website-based management information system, namely; 1) faster and easier access to information, 2) administrative efficiency, 3) transparency and accessibility, 4) increased quality of educational services, 5) flexibility and responsiveness, 6) reduced operational costs. By implementing a website-based management information system, it is possible to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of public services at MTS N 5 Sleman. Thus, implementing this system can be an effective solution in efforts to improve the quality of public services in educational institutions.
