Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the utilization of kubuku ePusda Gunungkidul application in fulfilling library information needs using the usability testing approach at the Gunungkidul Regency Regional Library. This research is included in quantitative descriptive research with the research subject of library users of the ePusda Gunungkidul kubuku application and the object of research is the utilization of the ePusda Gunungkidul kubuku application in fulfilling library information needs. In this study, the data collection methods used were observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation. The population in this study was 5,139 people, with the number of samples obtained as many as 98 respondents. Sampling this study using incidental sampling technique. The main instrument in this study used a questionnaire. This study has a single variable, namely the value of utilizing the ePusda Gunungkidul kubuku application in fulfilling the information needs of library users at the Gunungkidul Regency Regional Library. The validity test in this study used the product moment correlation formula. Meanwhile, the reliability test in this study used the Cronbach Alpha formula. Evaluation of the Utilization of Kubuku ePusda Gunungkidul Application in Fulfilling User Information Needs is based on the Usability Testing assessment component according to Nielsen (2012) which consists of 5 components, namely learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors and satisfaction. Based on the data analysis of the research results, the overall average value of the five indicators calculated using the Mean and Grand Mean formulas is 3.24, which means it is in the good category. The results of this study can provide several recommendations to system managers and users of the ePusda Gunungkidul kubuku application, namely to constantly improve the ePusda Gunungkidul kubuku application system, it is necessary to update the menu display in the ePusda Gunungkidul kubuku application to make it more attractive, and staff or librarians of the Gunungkidul Regency Regional Library need to review the concept of the ePusda Gunungkidul kubuku library application.
