Abstract

Da'wah is an important pillar in the spread of Islam, in this modern era of digital technology, we are facilitated in da'wah. In order for this da'wah to reach the audience well, rhetoric is needed. Rhetoric is a science that discusses how our speech has an attractive appeal that is liked by the audience, so that the audience can be moved and understand the message we convey. There are so many preachers who have unique rhetoric that can attract the audience to listen to them. One of them is Gus Baha, he has a unique da'wah strategy, namely using humor and easy-tounderstand da'wah messages that attract the audience. One of the media that shares his videos when preaching is an Instagram account called @kajian.gusbaha. The purpose of this study is to determine the rhetoric of Gus Baha's da'wah, which is in the posts @kajian.gusbaha from the period of October 31 to November 12, 2024. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. That is, the researcher collects data then uses observation and documentation techniques then the data is analyzed. The results of this study indicate that Gus Baha uses a variety of language styles, including informal and conversational language styles in his choice of words. He also uses simple language, noble and powerful language, and a moderate style based on his tone. Gus Baha's vocal style varies, including pauses and pitch. He can play pitches ranging from 1 to 3, pauses, and loudness. His body language style includes serious facial gestures and happy faces. He rarely displays emotional or theatrical expressions. He maintains full body control, with a stable voice and a calm, yet meaningful, face. He uses his fingers to help explain the material being presented, and he wears modest clothing.
