Abstract

The Berseri Sejahtera Waste Bank in Cilacap still relies on manual record-keeping, which causes slow administration, makes data vulnerable to loss, and lacks transparency for customers. The waste collection service is also not systematically managed. This research aims to design a web-based information system to digitalize operations and overcome these obstacles. The system development utilizes the prototype method through two iteration cycles. Cycle I focuses on the core functionalities, including user management, transactions, waste collection, and reporting. Based on the final evaluation of Cycle I, the development in Cycle II was conducted by integrating the WhatsApp Gateway API from the Fonnte server for real-time notifications, as well as optimizing the reporting filter using the Carbon library. The system was successfully implemented and proven to improve operational managerial efficiency. Functionality testing using Black Box Testing demonstrated a 100% valid success rate. Meanwhile, code logic testing using White Box Testing on the deposit feature resulted in a cyclomatic complexity value of V(G) = 3, where all logic paths were tested as valid, including the execution failure scenario (database rollback).
