Abstract
This study aims to analyze the implementation of Cyber Public Relations as a medium for disseminating public information on the Instagram account of the Yogyakarta Special Region Social Service. The background of this study is based on the increasing role of social media as the main channel of communication between the government and the public, as well as the demand for transparency and quality of public information. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation of Instagram content, in-depth interviews with internal informants from the Yogyakarta Special Region Social Services Agency, and supporting documentation. Data analysis refers to the concept of Cyber Public Relations according to Phillips and Young, which includes transparency, internet porosity, the internet as an agent, richness in content, and reach, and is linked to the dimensions of information quality, which include accuracy, timeliness, relevance, and completeness. The results of the study show that the DIY Social Service has implemented the principles of Cyber PR quite well, especially in terms of information accuracy, data transparency, and informative content variety. However, this study also found obstacles in the form of bureaucratic processes and a tiered approval system that affect the timeliness of information publication. The conclusion of the study shows that although Cyber Public Relations at the DIY Social Service has contributed positively to the dissemination of public information, optimization is still needed, particularly in increasing the speed of information delivery without neglecting the principles of caution and data validity.
