Abstract

Educational tourism has become an alternative tourism model that combines recreational activities with meaningful learning experiences for visitors. In this context, effective tourism communication management plays an important role in delivering educational values through interactive activities. This study aims to analyze the implementation of tourism communication management in educational tourism based on the experiential learning concept at Dolandeso Boro, Kulon Progo. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving tourism managers and facilitators as key informants. The results show that tourism communication management is implemented through four main stages: problem identification, planning, action and communication, and evaluation. These stages are integrated with the experiential learning cycle consisting of concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation. The integration of these processes creates participatory learning experiences for visitors and strengthens the role of educational tourism as a medium for knowledge transfer and community-based educational tourism.
