Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of weeding activities on the availability of collections for students at the MAYOGA Library. The method used is quantitative with a descriptive and correlation approach. This study uses four data collection techniques, including questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The research respondents were students of grades X and XI MAN 3 Sleman Yogyakarta. The results of data collection from respondents will be analyzed using mean analysis, product moment correlation analysis, simple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study indicate that weeding activities have a positive influence on the availability of collections at the MAYOGA Library. This can be seen from the correlation analysis value of 0.659, which indicates that the level of relationship between weeding activities and collection availability is in the strong category. The results of the regression equation are Y = 22.905 + 1.331X, which shows that if the weeding activity variable increases by 1%, there will be an increase in the collection availability variable by 1.331. In addition, weeding activities affect the availability of collections by 43.4%. The rest, 56.6% of the availability of collections in the MAYOGA library is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. This can be seen from the coefficient of determination (R2) value of 0.434.
