Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant relationship between the availability of collections and user satisfaction at the Ganesha Library of SMA N 1 Jetis and to assess the strength of the relationship. The method used is quantitative with inferential statistics using a correlational approach. The subjects in this study were users at the Ganesha Library, while the objects of the study were the availability of collections and user satisfaction. The sample consisted of 91 respondents, consisting of students and teachers selected through the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires using a Likert scale with 4 answer choices. Data analysis was carried out using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test and significance test with the help of IBM SPSS 25 software. The results of the study showed a positive relationship between the availability of collections and user satisfaction with a correlation coefficient of 0.702. This coefficient is included in the strong category. This result is also significant with a value of 9.302 which exceeds the t table. This indicates that the better the availability of collections at the Ganesha Library, the higher the level of user satisfaction. The results of this study can also be generalized to the existing population. The novelty of this study lies in the broader measurement involving respondents from two groups (students and teachers) and covering all types of collections, not just textbooks. Based on this, the researcher suggests that the management of the Ganesha Library strengthen the availability of its collection by expanding collections, updating collections regularly, and paying close attention to the indicators of collection availability.
