Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the public's interest in visiting Solusi Buku and provide appropriate development recommendations. The approach used is Participatory Ergonomics (PE), which involves the active participation of workers in designing and implementing changes in the workplace to improve comfort, productivity and safety. The research subjects included the owner, staff, and visitors of Solusi Buku, with the object being visitation interest. Data were collected through observation, interviews, FGD (Focus Group Discussion), and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the implementation of eight of the nine dimensions in the Participatory ergonomics Framework (PEF) successfully led to the creation of a more comfortable and relevant bookstore environment. Further analysis identified four main aspects that influence visitation interest: visitation interest itself, store function, capacity and facilities, and ergonomics implementation. Digital promotions, space comfort, and literacy ambience proved to be effective in attracting visitors. However, improvements in elements such as furniture and digital cashier system are still needed. Overall, Solusi Buku has great potential as an inclusive and sustainable community literacy destination.
