Abstract
The aim of this research is to reveal the relationship between locus of control and academic procrastination of students in Muhammadiyah 2 Senior High School, Yogyakarta. The subject of this research are male and female students grade XI in IPA and IPS (N = 169). The data is collected by using (a) Levenson IPC scale to measure locus of control, and (b) procrastination scale to measure academic procrastination. The result of this research shows that there is a significant relationship between locus of control (powerful other, r = 0.351), and (chance, r = 0.315) and academic procrastination. Besides that there is no significant relationship between locus of control (internality, r = -0.06) and academic procrastination. Key words: locus of control, academic procrastination, student
