Abstract

Risti Auliya S (2013) Study Information Literacy of Library Science Student In Departement of Library Science of Sunan Kalijaga Islamic State University Yogyakarta Based The Empowering 8 Model (Class Task In Progress) This study aims to determine the information literacy student at LibraryYogyakarta by the Empowering 8 model in terms of identify, followed by explore, select, organize, create, present, assess, and Apply. This research is descriptive quantitative research, the study subjects were student at Departement of Library Science of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta and the object of the research is information literacy. The population in this study were all students of Departement Library Science Yogyakarta 2010 much as 122 students, with the number of samples assigned 55 students. Sampling is done by random sampling method. Based on the processed data can be known that the information literacy student at Department Library Science Yogyakarta classified in either category with the Grand Mean of (2,76). The results of this research is the value 32 statement below average and 38 above statement shows the value of the average. Although it is above average, but found some low statements indicator that Departemen Library Science required a policy related to the learning processoriented learning to apply the principles of information literacy in the Learning Syllabus.
