Abstract

The study discusses theuser perceptions of library website as a means of SMA N 1 Yogyakarta. The purpose in this research to be knowledgeable about user perceptions of promotional of the website as a means of library SMA N 1 Yogyakarta. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Techniques of data collection using interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaires were used as research instruments. The results obtained in this study that the user perceptions of the website as a means of promotion of libraries in SMA N 1 Yogyakarta quite good with an average of 3.55. It can be concluded that the first production with an average value of 3.65 associated with the website providing information in accordance with the userrequirement and information contained on the website is always up to date. Second, the quality of the average value of 3.67 associated with the website providing relevant information and website provide appropriate information.Third, the efficiency with an average value of 3.58 is related to the time needed to search the collection in a fast website as well as the information sought in the website is easy to find.Fourth, satisfaction with an average value of 3.59 is associated with a collection that userrequirement contained on the website and can find needed information through the website.Fifth, competition with an average value of 3.51 is associated with a website can be used to search user requirements needed as well as the information contained on the website found on other search engines. Sixth, the development with an average value of 3.42 with regard to information contained on the website to meet the user requirement.Seventh, the continuity with an average value of 3.71 relating to the website to function properly. Eighth, introducing the function library with an average value of 3.53 is associated with a website can help introduce the library to user’s and website can help increase user reading.Ninth increase reading with an average value of 3.46 is associated with a website to help user’s to better utilize the library as well as user’s become more frequent in the library reading books.Tenth introduce services and library services with an average value of 3.53 associated with the website contains the library service owned and user become more aware of the importance of libraries.Eleventh, to develop understanding of libraries with an average value of 3.49, which is associated with a website can bring user to the library and make the website more user diligent visit in the library.
